Bucks arrive in Canada from Texas |

| On September 20, 2011, we
completed the sell and transportation from Texas to Canada that
spanned over 7 months. Much of that time was due to different does
kidding, determining if the kids were the right quality and then
getting them to weaning age healthy. The last two months were
arranging the transportation, getting the proper health papers and
the government papers to export them. It seems like a long time to put into a sell but once we saw the buyer was serious about buying multiple bucks from us, we decided it was worth the trouble. The buyer initially contacted us saying they were considering buying 3-4 red bucks from us. We have heard things like that before that never went anywhere. However, after receiving a deposit on the first buck they selected, we decided they were serious and started the effort to identify additional bucks for them. The buyer watched our breeding schedule to determine which does may produce the type of bucks they were looking for. As the does kidded, we took videos of the kids and posted them on Youtube for the buyer to watch the kids as they grew up. Some of the bucks went through stages where we told the buyer the kids were just not looking good enough for the buyer to commit to them. Then a month or two later, the bucks started to really muscle up and fill out. Eventually, the buyer purchased 6 bucks from us that were transported to Canada by Ron Keener's Transportation services. There were two traditional colored bucks and four red bucks. The note to the right is the email we received from the buyer after they got the bucks home and settled in. We would like to thank the buyer for purchasing the bucks from us and all of the additional expenses they incurred to export them to Canada. We wish them the best of luck with their new bucks. |
![]() "Hi Jack and Anita Well, the bucks have made it home safe and sound. Thank you for having all the paperwork in such good order for me - I appreciate that. Ron did an excellent job of transport. These guys do not look like they have just spent 4 days traveling. Got them off the trailer about an hour ago, unloaded them into the coverall building in their pen, and they settled right in and started eating hay. They are showing no signs of being stressed whatsoever. I am very, very pleased with these bucks. Thanks once again for everything!" |
