This is a two year old doe that has kidded once and had two very nice kids. Both kids sold very fast.

Evaluation

  • Very nice hindquarter with a lot of meat and a long slope. Meat on inside and outside of rear leg. Rear end goes down to hock.
  • Long and deep body. Very nice wedge for kidding capacity.
  • Wide in front and rear. Lots of meat in the chest.
  • Neck and front quarters well shaped tying in smoothly to the back. Lots of meat in this area.
  • Nice flat back
  • Legs squarely under the outer edges of the body. Leg bone is  medium. It could be larger but it is ok.
  • Bloodlines strong from well known South African buck that has produced many show winning animals.
  • Pasterns are strong.
  • She has four separate teats which we prefer for feeding triplets.
  • Color is show quality.
  • She raised twins successfully last time
  • She had no problems kidding
  • She has never been sick.
  • Strong jaw and correct mouth.
  • Does not require hoof trimming.

Conclusion:

This is a doe that we bought at a production sale.. She was selected because of her long, wide, deep body and excellent hindquarters. The second reason for buying her was because of the known quality bloodline. She is out of Glipsies Ticket, a South African embryo, and a granddaughter of Glipsie, a Nico Botha buck. Now that we have had her for one kidding season, she has shown she produces multiple quality kids. She ranks very high in our continuing to keep her in our breeding program.
