Xtender was born November, 2000
on Thanksgiving Day |
|
 |
Jan, 2001 |
When he was two months old, we were impressed
by his length and size but we did not realize at that time just how
impressive he was. He had a great top line and had a beautiful long neck
connecting just right into his shoulders and chest. He had a show winning
look even at this early age. |

Jan, 2001 |
People do not realize it
but Xtender was from a set of twin buck kids. His brother, Pilgrim, was a
paint and had similar body structure but just was not as big. We did
not realize what we had in them and someone came by and bought him. |

Feb, 2001 |
You can see here at three months old that
Xtender was a very large size kid with lots of muscle and meat. |
|
 |
Mar, 2001 |
At four months old, he
continued to get longer and deeper and wider. He had a great rear-end
from the very beginning. |
|
 |
Jul, 2001 |
When he was around five months old, he was
looking so good to us that we asked a friend if she would take him and get
him ready to show for us. She did and he placed at a few shows even though
he was at the bottom of his class and then he won a Reserve Grand Champion
Jr. Buck. We decided that was good enough for us and brought him home.
This picture was taken right after we brought him home. I was disappointed
in how he looked because he looked so long and lean and not stocky like
some of the other buck. We were told that he was bigger than the other
bucks his age and just had so much more frame to fill out. |
|
 |
Apr, 2002 |
As you can see, he really
started filling out his frame at 18 months old. We then KNEW we had a very
special buck. The muscle is showing all through this picture and he was so
thick and tall. He does not look tall in his pictures because it is not
just legs. He has so much depth in his body. We realized pictures were not
doing justice to the size of Xtender. |

Jun, 2002 |
You can see the deep curve in the rear-end
and how much meat he carries there. You can also see the extreme length of
body and extended neck line. But when people would come to visit our farm
and see Xtender in person, they could not believe how big he was. They
said we need to get a better picture showing his real size. |
 |
Jul, 2002 |
This was the first picture
we took trying to show his size. We put a large doe in to be bred and took
the picture with Xtender beside her. It really shows his extreme length,
depth, and muscle in the hind quarter. |

Here Xtender is still not two years old yet.
I had washed and trimmed him trying to clean him up. He was walking around
in the yard drying off and I decided to take some pictures of him. I
really like this picture of him. It is a similar stance to several
well-known bucks in South Africa and made a great comparison of how good
Xtender looks against some of the best in the world. |

 |
Feb, 2003 |
We had a farm magazine
publish one of our articles and wanted a picture of us for the front page.
We had someone come over to take some pictures for us. This was one of the
pictures. It was not used for the magazine but we have used it on our web
site to show the height of Xtender. Look at where the back of Xtender comes
compared to our waist. We have been told by some people that do breeding
services for some of the biggest named breeders in the U.S. that they have
never seen a buck the size of Xtender. |
|
 |
Mar, 2003 |
The buck with the dark head is Son of a Gun.
He was a double Magnum bloodline buck we had for our 2003 breeding
program. Xtender was around 30 months old and Son of a Gun was around 20
months old. We thought something was wrong with Son of a Gun because he
looked so small. We took him to two shows where the big breeders were and
he placed 4th at both shows and was average size compared to the other
bucks. We realized we just could not compare other bucks to Xtender. |
 |
|
Another comparison of
Xtender to other bucks. This is Xtender on the right standing by one of
our friend's main breeding bucks. They were the same age. Seeing
is believing. |
|
 |
Mar, 2003 |
Now, Xtender was about to
mature in his growth. People wanted to see how wide he was in the front. |
 |
Mar, 2003 |
This is Xtender at his mature size. Massive,
long, deep and extreme front and hind quarter. The bonus of all of this is
Xtender passes these traits along to many of his kids. We are constantly
asked when we will sell him. The simple answer is probably never. He
is not like other EGGSfile bucks and we believe that he was a once in a
life time OOPs in Nature that is a great foundation for the next
generation of boer goats. |

 |
Ennobled in 2005 through his
outstanding kids |
A
great end to this Picture History of Xtender. |

Died in 2006 at a Ranch outside of
Monterrey, Mexico |
